Below are instructions on how to clean camp stoves – it is not too difficult.
- During a campout, try to remove any large pieces of food. Keep it dry and pack up the hose neatly inside.
- Once you take the tent home, bring it to an open area outside with soap, warm water, and paper towels nearby.
- Scrub down the exterior of the stove with soap and water. Make sure to get the knobs really well.
- Open up the stove and remove the hose and tray.
- Wipe away any bits of food and clean the inside with soap and water. Make sure to get in the crevices and don’t touch the burners! If very dirty, use baking soda and vinegar to clean the stainless steel. Wipe/rub in the direction of the grain.
- Scrub the burners with a dry toothbrush or wire brush.
- Turn the stove upside down to dry.
- Clean the tray.
- Once everything is dry, neatly return the tray and hose and lock up the stove.
