The month started with a troop meeting on the 2nd. At Scout Breakfast and Scout Sunday, Scouts and families gathered early for a big breakfast together, sharing food and fellowship before heading to the service.

After breakfast, everyone dressed in full uniform and attended Scout Sunday, proudly representing the troop and showing appreciation for our chartered organization. It was a great way to start the month with both community and Scouting spirit. Then there was a troop meeting on the 23rd.
At the end of February, the troop went on a one-night cabin campout at Camp Highroad for ILST (Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops). During the campout, Scouts learned about different leadership positions and how each role contributes to the success of their patrols and the troop as a whole.

Discussions and activities helped Scouts understand responsibility, communication, and how to make decisions as a leader. The troop also held a PLC to plan upcoming events, review recent activities, and make sure everyone was on the same page.
While at Camp Highroad, Scouts took on the camp’s team-building course. Patrols worked together to solve challenging obstacles, think creatively, and support each other through each task.

From balancing across rope bridges to coordinating group challenges, Scouts got a chance to practice the leadership and teamwork skills they had learned during ILST. The course was not only a lot of fun but also a great opportunity for Scouts to put what they had learned into action.
By the end of the month, Scouts had grown in leadership, teamwork, and confidence. February was full of learning, leading, and scouting fun, and everyone left Camp Highroad ready for the next adventure with their patrols and troop.
